Help To Help
In November 2020, Honduras was hit with two severe hurricanes in less than a month leaving an already poverty stricken nation in utter distress. In 2021, Emmanuel joined a grass roots movement led by local residents who were committed to doing what they could for people in their former homeland.
Through this partnership we have sent over $500,000 worth of relief supplies to Honduras. These efforts have connected Rotary Clubs on two continents and have continued with successful fundraising efforts to build over 1500 desks for students and construct a new schoolhouse. We pray it will be a long lasting, sustained partnership connecting people in our own community with people abroad, not only with hurricane relief efforts, but with long term efforts to improve the quality of education and health support
Thanks be to God! Gracias a Dios!
Worthwhile and Meleny's House
Named in honor of Meleny Miller, the late wife of Pastor Emeritus Richard Miller, Meleny's House provides a place of refuge for survivors of human trafficking.
Redeveloped in partnership with Worthwhile Inc. Emmanuel's former parsonage has been converted into a 3-unit residence with room to house 6 women entering the Leadership Phase of Worthwhile's life-giving ministry.
Emmanuel is proud and grateful to join Worthwhile to share the love of Christ with women in need - just as it served Meleny Miller who lived in the home as a near quadriplegic for over 20 years.
